Issue a record
Updated
Create a record from a certificate template, or upload finished documents, and deliver it to each recipient's Vault.
On this page
Before you begin
- You need the Admin or Super Admin role in your organisation's workspace. See Invite team members and manage roles.
- Decide how to create the record: from a certificate template in Arrota, or by uploading documents you have already produced.
Issue a record
- In your dashboard, select Issue Credential.
- Choose the record type. If none fits, name a custom document type.
- Choose Create with Arrota to fill a certificate template, or Upload finished documents to upload a PDF, JPG or PNG for each recipient.
- If the record should lapse, set an expiry date. This is optional.
- Add recipients: enter each name and email address, or upload a spreadsheet. See Bulk issuance.
- Select Continue to Review. Arrota checks every recipient before anything is issued.
- Select the issue button, for example Issue 3 Credentials, to send the records.
What recipients receive
Each recipient is emailed as their record finishes. People who already have an Arrota account receive the record in their Vault directly. New recipients get a private claim invitation, valid for seven days.
Larger issuances finish in the background, so you can leave the page once they start.
After issuing
Issued records are listed in Directory. From a record's menu you can resend an invitation, correct the recipient's email, replace the record with a newer one or withdraw it. See Correct a record and What happens when a record is revoked or superseded?
