Create and secure your account

Updated

During the private beta, Arrota accounts are created by invitation. Here is how to create yours and keep it secure.

On this page

Arrota is invitation-only for now

Arrota is in private beta and public sign-up is closed. You can get an account in two ways:

  • An organisation issued you a record. The claim invitation email lets you create an account as you claim it. See Claim a record.
  • You were invited to an organisation's team. The team invitation email lets you join that organisation's workspace. See Invite team members and manage roles.

If neither applies, you can join the waitlist.

Create your account from a claim invitation

  1. Open the claim link in your invitation email. Invitations are valid for seven days.
  2. Enter your personal email address, then choose and confirm a password.
  3. Agree to the terms and select Create account & claim.
  4. Open the message Arrota sends to your personal email and confirm your address.

Your record is in your Vault straight away and becomes active once you confirm your email. If the invitation was sent to your work address, it stays linked to your account as a secondary email.

Why Arrota asks for a personal email

Records outlast jobs, and a work email stops working when you leave. Arrota uses your personal email to sign in so that your Vault stays reachable after you move on.

Keep your account secure

  • Use a password you have not used anywhere else.
  • After three incorrect password attempts, Arrota locks the account. You can unlock it by email from the sign-in page, or by resetting your password.
  • Set up an authenticator app. Arrota asks for a six-digit code before sensitive actions such as deleting your account.
  • Check Active sessions in your Vault settings and sign out any device you do not recognise.

See Reset your password and set up MFA.
