Every state says what it is
Every share has a clear Status.
- Valid
- The link works. Who shared, what is shared, and when access ends are shown at the top.
- Expired
- The date the holder set has passed. The link shows its state and nothing further.
- Revoked
- The holder withdrew access. Nothing can be viewed through the link again.
- Malformed
- The link doesn’t match a share. It may contain a typo or be incomplete. Ask the sender for a new link.
- Access denied
- The holder has restricted where this link works. The page shows an access-denied Status without exposing record details.
Sharing vs formal verification
Private sharing and formal verification serve different needs.
Holder-controlled share
You choose what to show
The person chooses to share an existing record or selected fields. A holder-shared record is not automatically the same as a formal business verification report.
Formal employment verification
A business submits an authorised claim
Arrota compares it with an eligible employer-confirmed record and returns field-level outcomes, not the private source record.

Does the recipient need an account?
No. A share opens in any browser and shows who shared, what is included, and when access ends. Nothing to install or sign up for.
Can I share a single record?
Yes. A share can contain one record or several. You choose the records, and the recipient sees only that selection.
Can I see if the link was opened?
Access history is part of the share: the holder can see when the link was used and what was viewed, and revoke it at any time.
What happens when a share expires?
The link stops working and shows an expired state without names or records. If access is still needed, you can issue a new link.
Is a share the same as making records public?
No. Public records appear on your public profile; a share is a private, scoped window that one recipient opens through its link. The two never mix.
Can I revoke a share before it expires?
Yes. You can revoke a private share at any time. Anyone opening the link afterwards will no longer be able to access the shared records.
Can a recipient see records I did not select?
No. A private share includes only the records and permitted fields selected when the link is created.
