Do I need an account to verify a record?
No. Anyone can check a public Arrota record without signing in.
What does “signed when issued” mean?
A cryptographic signature was recorded when the issuer created the record. It shows what was issued and by whom. It is not re-checked on every visit.
Why can I still see a revoked record?
So anyone holding an old link learns it was withdrawn. The record stays visible with its revoked status instead of disappearing.
Does “not found” mean the record is fake?
Not necessarily. The ID may be mistyped, or the record may not be public. Arrota does not reveal whether a private record exists.
Can I see who the record belongs to?
Only what the holder chooses to show, such as an initial and surname. Some records show no recipient details at all.
How long does a public verification link remain available?
Public record links are designed to remain accessible beyond the issuing relationship, and record IDs are kept through platform changes. That is a design commitment, not a guarantee of permanent storage.
