For professional bodies and licensing organisations

Make professional status easy to prove and difficult to misunderstand.

Memberships renew. Licences lapse. Standing can be revoked. Arrota records each state so a verifier can see whether standing is current.

The lifecycle you actually run

Status changes remain on the record.

A licence over time

Renewals supersede; lapses expire visibly. The history is the licence’s character reference.

When it goes wrong

A revoked status stays publicly visible with its history. Hiding it would make every old link misleading.

Records a professional body keeps

The register, made checkable.

Memberships

Grades, classes, and standing with renewal cycles attached.

Licences

Practising rights with validity periods and renewal history.

Certifications

Professional qualifications the body itself awards.

Continuing education

CPD and CE completions, where supported, connected to the credentials they sustain.

Charters and designations

Professional distinctions that can be checked directly from the Source.

Standing records

Current status as a first-class fact, not a PDF that was true once.

Renewal, expiry, revocation

Manage renewal, expiry, and revocation.

Renewal

A new record, linked to the old

A renewal supersedes the previous licence while keeping both records connected in History.

Expiry

Lapsed, not erased

Verifiers see the expired Status and the date validity ended.

Revocation

Withdrawn, in the open

Revoked standing remains publicly visible with its History, so old links do not imply that it is current.

Your questions answered

Frequently asked questions.

Can renewals happen automatically?

Renewals can be issued from the dashboard or, where implemented, through an API workflow. Each new licence can link to the record it replaces.

What does a revoked member’s record show?

The revoked status, relevant dates and history. It stays reachable because an old link must not imply the record is current.

Can CPD records connect to the credentials they renew?

Where supported, continuing-education completions sit alongside the licences they sustain, in the holder’s vault.

Can we run our whole register on this?

Arrota supports the record workflow for issuance, renewal, expiry, revocation, and public Status. Governance of the register remains with your organisation.

Can members keep evidence after leaving the register?

Yes. Claimed records remain in the member’s Vault, while the issuing body continues to control the Status and issuer-confirmed fields of records it issued.

Can the public check a member’s current Status without an account?

Yes. Published records can show their Source, current Status and permitted details through a public verification link.

How are corrections recorded?

Corrections are added as dated History events. The current record updates without erasing the state that existed before the change.
